EBIL S.A. invests in production upgrading through the “Produc-e Green” funding initiative

EBIL S.A. is implementing a production and technological upgrade investment plan under the funding initiative “Productive Investments in Green Economy and R&D – Produc-e Green”.

The investment is being implemented within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0”, with funding from the European Union’s NextGenerationEU.

With 50 years of experience in solar thermal systems and water heaters, EBIL S.A. continues to invest in its industrial development, in the strengthening of Greek manufacturing, and in the production of products that contribute to energy savings and the use of renewable energy sources.

The company operates as a vertically integrated manufacturing unit for solar thermal systems and water heaters. Its activity is mainly addressed to wholesale customers and B2B partners, while EBIL S.A. also operates as an OEM manufacturer for the Greek and international markets.

The investment plan aims to upgrade critical stages of the production process, with emphasis on improving production flow, reducing bottlenecks, increasing production capacity, improving resource utilization, and strengthening the company’s competitiveness.

The investment includes new mechanical equipment and modern production systems, such as equipment for the forming and processing of metal parts, shot-blasting and enameling systems, a high-pressure polyurethane injection machine, modern welding equipment, packaging equipment, 3D printing equipment for prototype development and R&D support, and electric internal transport vehicles.

The investment strengthens EBIL S.A.’s overall production capacity and the company’s ability to respond more effectively to the needs of the Greek market, while also maintaining the conditions for further export-oriented growth. These additions contribute to upgraded manufacturing quality, greater production stability, enhanced final product aesthetics, and greater adaptability to the needs of different customers and applications.

Upon completion of the project, EBIL S.A. strengthens its position as a modern industrial unit in the domestic hot water sector by investing in more efficient, technologically advanced production processes.

The total budget for the investment plan amounts to 1,646,191.25€, with public funding of 70%, corresponding to 1,152,333.88€ , and private participation of 30%.

This investment forms part of EBIL S.A.’s strategy for continuous industrial upgrading, increased production capacity, stronger export orientation, and the further development of Greek manufacturing in the solar thermal systems sector.
